What does it really mean to stay in the now and what are the benefits of really being able to the master this skill? If you think about it, most of us, most of the time are trying to anticipate the future, and thinking about what might be coming towards us, or alternatively, thinking about what we have done over the last hour, the last week, months or even years. Staying in the now however, is actually allowing oneself to deal fully with the present moment and centre oneself in the present time. Jumping outside our current situation and into the future or reminiscing on the past can actually lead us down emotional avenues that do little, if anything, to support us. So, what’s the key to staying in the present and what’s the disadvantage of leaving the current moment?
